Wie einige Audiophile sich bewusst sind, klang Classic Record LP Titel, die auf 180 Gramm Vinyl (oder weniger Gewicht) ausgegeben wurden, viel besser als die späteren 200 Gramm Versionen des gleichen Titels. Anscheinend hat dies mit den Vinylpressen zu tun, die verwendet wurden, um die LPs zu machen, wenn sie auf 200 Gramm Vinyl umgestellt wurden. Diese Maschinen wurden nie eingerichtet, um die extra dicken, 200 Gramm Platten von Vinyl zu behandeln. Und um einfach von 180 auf 200 zu schlagen, war es sehr problematisch. Das Vinyl war laut. Es gab dringende Mängel. Alles in allem ein minderwertiges Produkt im Vergleich zu dem etwas weniger schweren, aber viel besser klingenden 180 Gramm Vinyl. Classic Records kam mit allen Arten von Varianten für ihre 200 Gramm Pressungen - erinnern Sie sich das alles? Wenn du diese Periode gelebt hast, fragst du dich wahrscheinlich, warum es so viele Versionen derselben Musik gab, die von der gleichen Firma in etwas anderen Vinyl-Gebräu gemacht wurde! Es war einfach, dass die 200 Gramm-Versionen den früheren Pressungen auf 180 Gramm Vinyl unterlegen waren. Dies ist der Grund, warum die 180 Gramm-Versionen nicht nur viel mehr kosten, um jetzt zu erwerben, aber sie taten in der Tat viel besser. Als Sammler werden Sie wahrscheinlich versuchen, ein paar Versionen selbst zu sehen, ob Audiophile sich einfach vorstellen würden, was sie hörten - das ist Ihre Chance, einen solchen Titel zu erwerben. Diese LP ist auf 180 Gramm Vinyl. Es ist einer der ersten Pressungen aus diesem Titel und am besten von allen, es ist werkseitig versiegelt! Warten Sie nicht zu lange, um diese LPs zu bekommen, da die Lieferungen verschwinden. Obschon Fritz Reiner als Dirigent über ein äußerst breit gefächertes Repertoire verfügte, so gilt er doch vor allem als Spezialist für die Musik von Richard Strauss. Die hier vorliegende Aufnahme von 1959 mit den beiden Strauss-Kompositionen „Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche“ und „Tod und Verklärung“ ist ein beeindruckendes Beispiel für die Präzision und Strahlkraft von Reiners Orchesterklang; zudem zeigt sie, dass er diesen vor allem durch seine RCA-Aufnahmen berühmt gewordenen Klang nicht nur seinem Haus-Orchester, dem Chicago Symphony Orchestra, entlocken konnte, sondern auch wie hier bei einem Gastspiel den Wiener Philharmonikern (eine Kooperation zwischen Reiners Label RCA und Decca, bei denen die Wiener Philharmoniker unter Vertrag standen, machte dies möglich). Der überschäumende musikalische Humor im „Eulenspiegel“ und die tiefe Hingabe in „Tod und Verklärung“ sind zwei hier exzellent festgehaltene Seiten der Emotionalität, die Reiner zwar zu einem oft unberechenbaren Menschen, aber auch zu einem genialen Dirigenten machte. Diese Aufnahme von Richard Strauss' Tondichtungen Till Eulenspiegel und Tod und Verklärung, ursprünglich erschienen im Jahr 1959, war Fritz Reiners erste Zusammenarbeit mit den Wiener Philharmonikern nach dem Ende des 2. Weltkriegs. Das Orchester gehörte zu den Stars im Decca-Programm und Reiners künstlerisches Schaffen war untrennbar mit dem Werk von Richard Strauss verbunden................ Verantwortlicher Toningenieur dieser Einspielung aus den Wiener Sofiensälen war James Brown, der den satten Klang der exzellent spielenden Musiker erstklassig einfing. Und immer wenn Angus Young seinen Kurzhosen-Schulanzug anzieht gibt es kein Halten mehr. Und den hatte er bestimmt im Studio auch an. Leider konnte Malcom Young nicht mehr livehaftig mit dabei sein. Er ist es aber doch. Wie Angus Young in einem TV-Interview mitteilte, arbeiteten die Beiden schon lange an Songs und haben seinerzeit Riffs ausprobiert und aufgeschrieben. Diese kommen hier zum Einsatz. Insoweit ist er auch neben Angus Young als Mitkomponist der Songs aufgeführt. Das ist schon eine berührende Geschichte. Den Anfang des Rock-Pakets macht “Realize“. Der wieder genesene Brian Johnson klingt genauso giftig-dirty wie eh und je und stellt seine Shouter-Qualitäten mehr als beeindruckend unter Beweis. Aus einem Guß donnert das Metall-Schlagwerk aus Drummer Phil Rudd und Basser Cliff Williams los. Die Rhythmus-Gitarre bedient meisterhaft Steve Young. Mit magmaschweren Blues-Feeling kommt “Shot In The Dark“. AC/DC verstehen es wie keine andere Band mit einfachen, aber hammerhart präzise gedroschenen Licks die Songs vorwärtszuprügeln. Das erzeugt einen Wahnsinsdruck. “Hard As A Rock“ unterstreicht das nicht nur wörtlich. Und die Soli, die Mastermind Angus Young aus seiner Gibson SG kitzelnd sind einfach nur noch genial. Die sauber gepresste Vinylscheibe bläst den Staub von den Membranen der Lautsprecher. Sie kommt im spannend grafisch gestalteten Klappcover mit bedruckter Innenhülle. UND bei uns: streng limitiert in leuchtend rotem Vinyl. Let it rock! And play it loud! Limitierte Edition im roten Vinyl. ************************************************************************************************** Rezension: Back in black again: 40 Jahre nach dem letzten Gruß an Bon Scott ist dieses Album dem 2017 verstorbenen Malcolm Young gewidmet; die Songs stammen noch überwiegend aus seinem Nachlaß. Und man darf schon ein wenig beeindruckt sein, denn sie sind gut, diese Songs, und der Punch der alten Herren ist gewaltig (weiß der Himmel, woher der über siebzigjährige Brian Johnson noch diese Kraft in seinen Stimmbändern holt). Für Innovation stand diese Band noch nie, aber wer einfach nur das heilige RIFF abfeiern will, wird kaum irgendwo besser bedient. Einst wie jetzt. Album der australischen Rocklegenden, die 2020 aus Schlagzeuger Phil Rudd, Bassist Cliff Williams, den Gitarristen Angus und Stevie Young sowie Sänger Brian Johnson bestehen, der nach gesundheitlichen Problemen seine Rückkehr zur Band feiert. These majestic recordings received a meticulous and laborious treatment like no other recordings in the entire history of the recorded sound. They are characterized by the massively extended dynamic and frequency range, mastering from the very first generation of original master tapes, almost compulsive attention paid to the detail and integrity of the pressing, and the highest quality of the material (only the "virgin-", audiophile-grade vinyl was used, and most of the titles were pressed by RCA/Victor and/or Warner-Pioneer corporations of Japan, both known for their near-obsessive attention paid to the fine sonic detail and audio craftsmanship); a special proprietary technology was used to achieve analogue-like, warm, translucent, radiant, vivid and all-encompassing sound.
