This Sealed, New, Never Opened Original Master Recording has a gatefold jacket. ................ Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, London between June 1972 and January 1973. ................ Early releases by MFSL were pressed in Japan. ................ Source The original stereo master tape. ................ ******************************************************************************************** ........................ DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, originally released in 1973, is one of those albums that is discovered anew by each generation of rock listeners. This complex, often psychedelic music works very wel because PINK FLOYD doesn´t rush anything; the songs are mainly slow and mid-temp, with attention paid throughout to musical texture and mood. The sound effects on songs like ON THE RUN and TIME ...... and especially MONEY (with sampled sounds of clinking coins and cash registers turned into rhythmic accompaniment) are impressive, especially when we remember that 1973 was before the advent of digital recording techniques. This is probably PINK FLOYD´s best known work. PINK FLOYD were incredibly talented pioneers and innovators who were a ground-breaking act who were many, many years ahead of their time capable of producing the most devastatingly original and brilliant music ever created. .................................... ************************************************************************************************* ............... Im Jahr 1981, produzierte die Firma Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab acht UHQR (Ultra High Quality Record) LP-Alben. Das zweite, in dieser Serie produzierte Album, war Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon. ........... ...................... Weitere technische Daten in Englisch. ........... ********************************************************************************************** Inside Cover: Black with heartbeat line, lyrics, and credits. To the right of the credits, it says: Imported Pressing and Plating ................ Super High Definition Vinyl (extended life) ................ Special Static Free-Dust Free Inner-Sleeve ................ Special Heavy Duty Protective Packaging ................ Source: the Original Stereo Master Tape ................ Inner Sleeve: The record is housed in a special static-free inner sleeve. ................ ********************************************************************************************* Inserts: ................ 1) A 4-page fold-open, heavy cardboard record cover with "LIMITED EDITIONS FROM THE ORIGINAL MASTERS" on the front, an MFSL catalog in the center, and the story of MFSL on the back. ................ 2) An 8 inch by 5 inch yellow certificate of Limited Warranty from Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, with a form on back for return of a defective record. ................ 3) An 11 inch by 8 1/2 inch two-sided Geo-Disc ad with order form on back. Plastic Cover: Released covered in a clear-plastic cover. ................ ************************************************************************************************** Technical Specifications: ........... Distortion: Distortion was so low on MFSL UHQR records that nearly theoretical values were achieved. Low, mid, and high range distortions were improved by 12, 10 and 6 dB or more, respectively. Frequency Response: Frequency response on MFSL UHQR records is flat. Its accuracy is within plus or minus 0.5 dB, whereas conventional records have a frequency response of plus or minus 3 dB. Record Quality: Production of UHQR records by MFSL produced minimal individual disc quality variations. ........... Surface Vibration: Mid-range disc surface vibration at 700 Hz was reduced by 10 dB. Wear Resistance: Because MFSL UHQR records are flat, thick, and free from physical shape distortion, there is relatively little wear resistance. ........... Pressing made from the master stamper at the The Victor Company of Japan (JVC) in Yokohama, Japan during 1981. ........... ***************************************************************************************************
