************************************************************************************************ ...................Krauss, Alison - Live (3 LP, 180 g)......................... Zugegeben, das ist schon eine Stange Geld, die man für dieses MFSL-Set hinblättern muss, doch es lohnt sich in jeder Hinsicht! Dieser Meinung waren wohl auch all diejenigen, die sofort zuschlugen, als wir diesen Titel im Web Präsentierten: „Alison Krauss + Union Station - Live“. Es scheint sich schon herumgesprochen zu haben, dass dieses Dreichfach-Album feinster akustischer und musikalischer Stoff ist, aus dem die audiophilen Träume sind! Die Aufnahmen fanden am 29. und 30. April 2002 im The Lousiville Palace in Lousiville, Kentucky, USA, statt, natürlich mit rein akustischer Instrumentierung. Und wer Vorbehalte gegen eine digitale Aufnahme (hier DSD!) hat, der sollte mit dieser Scheibe mal einen Blindtest machen, er wird (ohne diese Zeilen gelesen zu haben) wohl eher rein analoge Technik, womöglich gar Röhren vermuten, derart warm und plastisch perlt es aus den Lautsprechern. Es gab dabei eine simple, aber ausschlaggebende Grundlage bei der Produktion: Die LP musste besser klingen als die SACD auf der professionellen Meitner Elektronik im Studio. Was hier also wunderbar detailreich und mit schönen Klangfarben aus den Lautsprechern perlt, sind 25 exquisite Folk-, Bluegrass und Countrynummern der mit bereits 20 Grammys (!!!) ausgezeichneten Chanteuse Alison Krauss und ihrer Band. Sie war in bester Spiellaune, die Stimmung im Konzertsaal war prächtig und dank der gelungen Einspielung wurde die Liveatmosphäre auch sehr authentisch festgehalten. Eine grandiose Einspielung! Union Station members also get plenty of licks in performances ranging from Dan Tyminski's rich singing on the traditional "Man of Constant Sorrow" taken from the aforementioned film to Jerry Douglas' laid-back dobro instrumental medley "A Tribute To Peador O'Donnell/Monkey Let The Hogs Out."
