********************************************************************************************* Carl Orffs Carmina Burana entstand in den Jahren 1935/36 und basiert auf der gleichnamigen Textsammlung mittellateinischer und mittelhochdeutscher Lieder und Dramen aus dem 11. und 12. Jahrhundert. Orff wählte 24 davon aus und verfasste daraus ein Libretto. Die Themen reichen vom wechselhaften Glück und Wohlstand über die Gefahren von Trinken, Völlerei und Wollust bis zum Erwachen des Frühlings. Die Aufnahme mit dem Chor und Orchester der Deutschen Oper in Berlin, dirigiert von Eugen Jochum im Jahr 1967 mit der Sopranistin Gundula Janowitz, Tenor Gerhard Stolze und Bariton Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, fand in Anwesenheit von Carl Orff statt.
