Add to that, being a good friend and collaborator of Heifetz, Piatigorsky always felt a personal if somewhat romantic attachment to Dvorak's famed Cello concerto. Recorded in 1959 directly to three track with Munch conducting the BSO, the sound is as stellar as the performance. .....................
